Cain earned All-American status at the 2015 NCAA Division III Wrestling Tournament, securing a fifth place finish at 174 lbs. It is his first All-American honor.
After falling 6-5 in the first round, Cain rebounded with a 13-7 victory over Cain Mike Shermot of the United States Coast Guard Academy. He ensured All-American status with a 3-1 win over Joshua Sibbles of Centenary College.
On Saturday, Cain began with a 12-9 win over No. 8 seed Garrett Chase of Baldwin Wallace, before losing to No. 7 seed Ryan Harrington of Coe College, 5-3. In the fifth place match, Cain ended his collegiate career with a win, defeating Sebastian Gardner of Concordia-Moorhead, 5-2.Â
Cain finished 32-7 in 2014-15 and 78-39 in his four-year RIT career.
