KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team opened the 2026 campaign with a 3-1 (23-25, 27-25, 25-11, 25-20) victory at Keuka, Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Keuka opened an 8-2 lead in the first set and later led, 11-5, following a 3-1 run. The Tigers responded with a 4-1 run, including back-to-back kills by first-year Layla Parker, to pull back within three, 12-9. The Wolves put together a 9-5 run for a 21-14 lead, but RIT scored six of the next seven points for a 22-20 score. Keuka scored twice to get to set point and fought off three-straight RIT points to put the first set away.
- Tied, 10-10, to start the second, Keuka put together a 5-2 surge for a 15-12 lead. RIT got back within one, 17-16, with a 4-2 run, before the Wolves scored three points for a 20-16 edge. The Tigers came back within one, 21-20, but allowed two points to trail, 23-20. RIT scored the next four points – including consecutive service aces by sophomore Anna Wasula - for a swing at the set, 24-23, but Keuka netted the next two points for a 25-24 edge. The Tigers secured the second set with three-straight points, including a pair of kills by Parker and a service ace by first-year Zoey Brasier.
- RIT opened the third with a 6-2 lead and later used an 8-2 run to build a 14-8 lead. The Wolves pulled back within five, 16-11, but the Tigers won nine-unanswered points, including three kills by Brasier and two by Wasula, to earn the set.
- Early in the fourth, RIT scored six-straight points for a 10-5 lead. Keuka battled back within one, 14-13, but the Tigers scored a decisive 5-1 run for a 19-14 edge. The teams finished the set trading the final 10 points as RIT sealed the victory.
WHAT'S NEXT
RIT heads to Pennsylvania for four matches at the St. Vincent Bearcat Challenge on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 4-5), taking on Westminster (4:00 p.m.) and the hosts (8:00 p.m.) on Friday, before squaring off with Bethany (2:00 p.m.) and Grove City (4:00 p.m.) on Saturday.
