ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's lacrosse team will play Babson College in the quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament on Friday (May 15) at 7 p.m. at Whittier Field on the campus of Bowdoin College.
Bowdoin will take on Hope at 4:00 p.m. The two winners will meet on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the semifinals with a berth in next weekend's national championship in Charlottesville, Virginia on the line.

RIT is making its 27th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and 16th straight dating back to 2010. The Tigers are 50-24 all-time in NCAA Tournament games, including a 44-13 record since 2010. RIT is making its ninth-consecutive quarterfinal appearance and 19th in program history. RIT will be in the hunt for its sixth-straight and 15th overall appearance in the semifinals and has made five appearances in the national championship game, winning back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022.

RIT averages 15.04 goals per game. The Tigers are 11th in Division III in assists (202), tied for 21st averaging 9.62 assists per game, 12th in points (518) and converted 21-of-56 (37.5%) of their man-up chances.
Junior
Erich Acton leads RIT with 78 points and 29 assists. The 2026 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year is 16th in Division III with a .476 shooting percentage. Sanders is second on the team with 75 points and leads the Tigers with 49 goals. Senior
Ethan Harkins is third in scoring with 52 points on 28 goals and 24 assists. He is 31st in program history with 150 career points and is tied for 27th in program history with 102 career goals.
RIT allows 9.28 goals per game. The Tigers are tenth in Division III in clearing percentage (.898) and seventh in ground balls (844). The Tigers have killed 75.9% (60-of-79) of their penalties and cause 11.19 turnovers per game.

RIT is 2-1 all-time against Babson. The Beavers defeated the Tigers 16-12 on Feb. 28 in Schenectady, N.Y. Acton tallied two goals and two assists for RIT and Joey Allen scored five goals and had three assists for Babson. RIT beat Babson 23-16 in the third round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament at RIT.

Babson, ranked No. 3 in the final USILA Division III poll, is making its sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Beavers advanced to the quarterfinals with a 13-9 win over St. Lawrence in Sunday's third-round game. Junior Andrew Berardi, junior Seamus Rooney and senior Bennett Smith each scored two goals and added an assist. Senior Braden Reilly scored two goals, and sophomore Andrew Almquist made six saves in net.
The Beavers are 18th in Division III averaging 16.0 goals per game and are second in Division III converting 26-of-46 (56.5%) on man-up. Babson is 17th in the country with 197 assists and 19th averaging 9.85 assists per game. Graduate student Joey Allen leads Babson with 67 points and 42 goals. Smith is second on the team with 58 points on 27 goals and a team-high 31 assists. Reilly is third with 52 points (28g, 24a) and Rooney (29g, 12a) and junior Camden Matthews (30g, 11a) are tied for fourth with 41 points apiece.
Babson allows 8.1 goals per game and killed off 45-of-62 (72.5%) penalties. The Beavers are fifth in Division III in clearing percentage (90.9%), tied for 20th with 768 ground balls and tied for 17th with 256 saves. Almquist is 18-2 this season. He is ninth nationally with a .607 save percentage and 13th with a 8.31 goals-against average. Senior Tyee Ambrosh leads Babson with 22 caused turnovers. Graduate student Mason Dorr is second on the team with 19 caused turnovers, while junior Ryan St. Onge is third with 15. Graduate student Beau Burns is fifth in Division III winning 74.9 percent of his face-offs and leads the team with 137 ground balls.
BOWDOIN POLAR BEARS (18-1) ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATISTICS
Bowdoin, ranked No. 2 in the final USILA Division III poll, is making its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance. The Polar Bears have reached the semifinals in each of the last two seasons. Bowdoin earned a spot into the quarterfinals with a 17-14 win over Stevens in Sunday's third-round game. Junior Ryan Casey led Bowdoin with nine points on five goals and four assists. Senior Sam Raye-Steiner scored four goals and an assist and junior Chris Berry tallied two goals and two assists. Sophomore Alec Delgado made 15 saves in net.
Bowdoin is 18-1 overall and 4-1 in its last five games. The Polar Bears are 22nd in Division III averaging 15.79 goals per game and lead Division III converting 27-of-43 (62.8%) on man-up. Bowdoin is 22nd in assists (180) and 21st in points (480). Casey leads Bowdoin with 116 points, 68 goals and 48 assists. He is sixth in Division III, averaging 6.11 points per game and 22nd averaging 3.58 goals per game. Berry is second in scoring with 101 points (56g, 45a) and is 18th in Division III, averaging 5.32 points per game. Raye-Steiner is third with 71 points (49g, 22a).
The Polar Bears allow 9.16 goals per game and killed off 29-of-41 (70.7%) penalties. Delgado is 15-1 this season with an 8.93 goals-against average and a .572 save percentage. Senior Alex Byrne leads Bowdoin with 24 caused turnovers and junior Nico Schermer and sophomore Brooks Kitchel are tied for second with 21 caused turnovers each. Junior Cam Wietfeldt has won 177-of-274 (64.6%) face-offs and is leads the team with 81 ground balls. Sophomore Alex Choi has won 131-of-205 (63.9%) draws and is tied with Schermer for third on the team with 67 ground balls. Bryne is second with 74 ground balls.
HOPE FLYING DUTCHMEN (20-0) ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATISTICS
Hope is making its fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Flying Dutchmen advanced to the quarterfinals with a 14-12 win over Bates in Saturday's third-round game. Junior Gibson Heethuis led Hope with seven points on two goals and five assists. Sophomore Preston Hoexum scored three goals and sophomore Weston Godbold and sophomore Jack Zuiderveen each scored two goals and an assist. Senior Jack Balmforth made 11 saves in goal.
Hope is 20-0 overall. The Flying Dutchmen are 14th in Division III averaging 16.25 goals per game and are 9-of-43 (20.9%) on man-up. Hope is seventh in Division III with 215 assists and ninth averaging 10.75 assists per game and 540 points. Heethuis leads Hope with 133 points, 63 goals and 70 assists. He is third in Division III averaging 6.6 points per game and sixth averaging 3.5 assists per game. Hoexum is second with 92 points on 62 goals and 30 assists and Zuiderveen is third with 49 points (33g, 16a).
The Flying Dutchmen are fourth in Division III, allowing 6.70 goals per game. Hope is sixth in the country causing 14.15 turnover per game, and ninth with 838 ground balls. The Flying Dutchmen have killed off 54-of-68 penalties (79.4%). Sophomore Tyler Berens leads the team with 45 caused turnovers. Senior John Foster is second with 39 caused turnovers and first year Jackson Arnold is third with 23 caused turnovers. Senior Jackson Early is winning 51.1% (119-of-233) of his draws and leads the team with 81 ground balls. First year Jackson Vasquez has won 72-of-151 (47.7%) of his draws and is second on the team with 76 ground balls. Balmforth is 18-0 with a 7.68 goals-against average and a .553 save percentage.
