FREDONIA, N.Y. – Senior
Kathryn Arbegast finished first out of 124 runners to lead the RIT women's cross country team to a second-place finish out of 12 teams at Fredonia's Kara Hall Memorial Invitational, Friday.
With the win, Argbegast has placed first all three races RIT has competed in this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arbegast finished in a winning time of 22:32.8, nearly 21 seconds ahead of senior Therese Georgia in second (22:53.7).
- Sophomore Valerie Gilbert finished ninth with a time of 23:54.3 as senior Rachael Ladd crossed the line 27th in 24:45.9.
- Junior Sydney Borofsky rounded out the Tigers' scoring five, placing 37th in 25:07.3. Sophomore Victoria Raghubar placed 43rd (25:21.4) ahead of first-year Olivia Divine in 57th (25:59.8) to complete the top-seven.
- Oneonta won the meet with 64 points, followed by RIT (70), SUNY Geneseo (77), Nazareth (83) and Ithaca (135) in the top-five.

RIT returns to action Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton at the Field of Dreams.
