ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior Kathryn Arbegast finished first out of 208 runners to lead the Tigers to a sixth-place finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Arbegast crossed the finish line in 21:53.5, besting second-place Greylynn Guyer of Geneseo by over seven seconds to win the individual title.
• Senior Therese Georgia was RIT's second finisher, placing 13th overall in 22:52.3.
• Sophomore Valerie Gilbert placed 47th overall with a time of 24:09.6.
• Senior Rachael Ladd crossed the line in 67th place at 24:39.3.
• Junior Sydney Borofsky rounded out the Tigers' scoring five, taking 77th overall in 24:50.4.
• Sophomore Juliana Cavanaugh placed 103rd overall in 25:14.6, while sophomore Victoria Raghubar took 111th in 25:28.7 to complete RIT's top seven.
• Geneseo won the team title with 42 points, followed by Colgate (51), Oneonta (127), Cortland St. (149), host Rochester (149), and RIT (152) in the 16-team field.
