Men’s Basketball falls at St. Lawrence, 75-60

CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT men's basketball team fell, 75–60, at St. Lawrence Friday evening.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • St. Lawrence hit four early threes as part of a hot-shooting first half that built a 47–26 lead at the break.
  • RIT strung together a 10–2 stretch early in the second half, capped by a layup from first-year forward Nigel Pierman, to cut the deficit to 50–32.
  • A sequence of back‑to‑back defensive stops, including a block by graduate student forward Josiah Turner, triggered an RIT burst that pulled the Tigers within 60–49 with 6:47 remaining.
  • Pierman and Turner combined for 11 straight RIT points late in the half, helping the Tigers outscore St. Lawrence 34–28 after halftime.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Pierman scored a career‑best 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting and added seven rebounds.
  • Turner finished with 13 points, three blocks, and two assists.
  • Junior guard Zac Ditzel contributed 12 points, including two second-half three-pointers.
  • RIT forced 22 St. Lawrence turnovers and turned them into 24 points.
  • The Tigers' bench added 28 points.
