ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team opened its indoor season Friday at the Nazareth Alumni Classic inside the Golisano Training Center.
Junior
Jack DeFeo won the 300 meters with a facility-record time of 35.09. DeFeo added a third-place finish in the 400 meters (49.29). Sophomore
John Elliot won the 500 meters (1:05.57), while sophomore
Matthew Califf captured the 3000 meters (8:58.16). First-year
Naashon Calliens won the 60-meter hurdles (8.31) after qualifying third in prelims.
In the field events, first-year
Cooper Bradley cleared 1.93m for second in the high jump as classmate Michael Murray led the team in the pole vault with a fourth-place finish (4.60m).
