ROCHESTER, N.Y. – As the finishing touches are added to the $30 million Judson Stadium construction project, RIT officially announced the state-of-the-art facility will be the site of the 2026 NCAA Division II and III Women's Lacrosse Semifinals and National Championship games this coming Memorial Day weekend.
Two national champions will be crowned following six games over a four-day period, starting with the Division II semifinal games on Thursday, May 21, and the Division III semifinals on Friday, May 22. The Division II National Championship is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, before the Division III National Championship completes the weekend on Sunday, May 24.
"It is an honor to welcome the NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championships to RIT this spring," said RIT Executive Director of Athletics
Jacqueline Nicholson. "This will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase our amazing new facility along with the rest of our community and we look forward to welcoming eight of the nation's best teams and all their fans to our campus."
Amenities at Judson Stadium include:
- Seating for 1,200 spectators, plus standing room and hospitality space
- Team locker rooms
- A state-of-the-art athletic training room with hot/cold tubs and exam tables
- A glass-walled hospitality room overlooking the field
- A media suite for broadcast and communications
- Concession areas
- A partially covered outdoor concourse for events and fan engagement
RIT is no stranger to hosting NCAA Championship events, most recently welcoming the 2025 NCAA Division III Niagara Region Cross Country Championships to nearby Genesee Valley Park last month. RIT was also named one of four NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Regional hosts in 2028, to be played at Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester the final weekend of March on dates to be announced
