ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's swimming & diving team defeated William Smith, 220-80, Saturday.
The Tigers finished first in all 16 events. Junior
Anna Peshenko won the 50 backstroke (29.96), the 500 freestyle (5:29.92) and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay team. Sophomore
Sydney DeLapp placed first in the 1,000 freestyle (11:25.81) and also won the 50 freestyle (24.84). First-year
Anna Beahan won the 100 backstroke (1:02.33) and the 100 IM (1:02.40). First-year
Maddi Williams won the 1-meter dive (270.05) and the 3-meter dive (291.00).
The Tigers will compete in the Liberty League Championships beginning on Wednesday, February 21st.
