CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Track & Field team placed third out of eight teams at the 2024 Liberty League Indoor Championships at St. Lawrence's Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex.

• First-year Jacen Mitchell won the 60 hurdles (8.55), followed by Cameron Chambers (8.85) in fifth and Eric Antonecchia (8.97) in sixth.
• Sophomore Dean Bartels finished second in the shot put (45' 9.25"/13.95m).
• Senior Aidan Hughes placed second in the weight throw (53' 11"/16.43m) while Josh Auler placed fourth (52' 7.5"/16.04m)
• Junior Max Stein (49.96) and sophomore Jack DeFeo (50.44) finished second and third, respectively, in the 400 to lead four Tiger place-winners.  
• Stein and DeFeo also teamed with Trenton Goyette and Michael Sardo to place second in the 4x400 (3:24.88). 
• First-year Erich Brown placed third in the high jump (6' 2.25"/1.89m). 
• First-year Keenan Gosselin placed sixth in the heptathlon with 3,834 points 

RPI won the meet with 228 points followed by Rochester (180.5), RIT (99), Union (57) and St. Lawrence (46.5) in the top five.

WHAT'S NEXT
RIT will compete at the Atlantic Region Indoor Championships next Friday and Saturday (Mar. 1-2), hosted by Nazareth.
