ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's rowing team competed in the 35
th Head of the Genesee, Saturday.
The V1 8+ boat placed second overall, behind Hamilton (16:30.017), crossing the finish line in 16:52.688. The boat was coaxed by
Jackson Blazek, with Nicolas Lagdon,
Tommy Moore,
Tyler Emerson,
Alex Nenadic,
Tom Kirkham,
Shane Guasteferro,
Nick Ricotta, and
Parker Kinsman.
In the 4+ event, the boat coaxed by
Jacob Marrer, with Langdon, Nenadic, Emerson, and Kinsman took first place with a time of 18:28.277. The Tigers finished 38 seconds faster than second place Clarkson (18:58.041).
Teammates
Emmet Christiansen and
Tommy Moore won the Open 2- with a time of 22:55.326, just two seconds faster than Clarkson's boat.
RIT travels this weekend (Oct. 19-20) to compete in the 59
th Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Mass.
