ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT men's hockey team closes January hosting Bentley for an Atlantic Hockey doubleheader this Friday (7:05 PM) and Saturday (5:05 PM) in the fourth of seven-consecutive weeks of league play to close the regular season.
The Tigers look to keep things rolling after snapping their first two-game slide of the season with back-to-back high-scoring road wins at Robert Morris last weekend, while Bentley rides a three-game winning-streak into the weekend, including a home sweep of Mercyhurst, 4-0 and 8-4, last weekend.

- RIT was ranked in the USCHO.com national poll for the 10th-consecutive week, moving back up one spot to No. 19 after climbing as high as No. 18 last month. The Tigers also lauded their seventh-straight ranking in the USA Hockey poll, sitting No. 20 for the third-straight week after four at No. 19.
- RIT entered the week 13th in scoring offense averaging 3.50 goals per game and 10th in scoring defense allowing 2.42 goals per game to rank 11th with a 1.08 scoring margin. The Tigers' penalty kill was also ranked 11th (.847) while the power play broke into the top-20 at 19th (.227).
- RIT equaled their highest scoring output of the season in last Friday's 6-3 victory over the Colonials before eclipsing it with a 7-1 victory, buoyed by a season-high four power-play goals, on Saturday. The Tigers' power play combined to finish 7-for-12 with the extra man during the series.
- The Tigers have averaged 46.0 shots on goal over their last five games, including a season-high 56 in last Friday's opener before putting 43 more on goal, Saturday.
- Junior forward Carter Wilkie was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, landing his second conference honor of the season and 13th of his career after totaling a league-best seven points during the Tigers' Robert Morris sweep. He started with two goals and an assist in Friday's win before tying a career-high with four points on a goal and three assist while winning 14-of-20 faceoffs on Saturday.
- Wilkie moved into 17th place on the Tigers' D1-era scoring list with 95 points through 101 career games. He combined to win 29-of-47 faceoffs during the RMU series and entered the week ranked second nationally with 335 faceoff victories this season. The reigning Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year is currently ranked fifth in Atlantic Hockey with 25 points, tied for fifth with 11 goals and tied for seventh with 14 assists.
- Junior goaltender Tommy Scarfone currently ranks third nationally with a .928 save percentage and 11th with a 2.31 goals against average. Named to the Richter Award Watch List for the second-straight season, Scarfone made 38 saves in last Friday's victory to earn his 43rd career victory – tied with Logan Drackett '21 for the most wins in program D1-era history. He also logged his 31st career game with at least 30 saves and became the third Tiger to surpass 2,100 career saves with 2,115 to date.

- Senior forward Cody Laskosky scored three goals and added an assist in Saturday's win for his second career hat-trick. Putting together RIT's 19th hat-trick during the D1 era, Laskosky is only the sixth Tiger with multiple hat-tricks during that span. Laskosky also equaled the career-high four points he tallied (all assists) during the Tigers' 6-5 win at Niagara two seasons ago. Second on the team with 23 points, Laskosky is also tied for second with nine goals and 14 assists.
- Senior defenseman Aiden Hansen-Bukata notched two assists in both of last weekend's games following a three-game absence with an upper-body injury sustained in the first period of the Clarkson victory (Jan. 5). He leads the Tigers with 16 assists and is fifth with 17 points.
