Wilkie named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT junior forward Carter Wilkie was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week, Monday. He won his second league honor of the season and 13th of his career. 

  • Wilkie totaled a conference-high seven points during the Tigers' two-game sweep at Robert Morris last weekend. He started with two goals and an assist in Friday's 6-3 win before tying a career-high with four points on a goal and three assist while winning 14-of-20 faceoffs in Saturday's 7-1 victory.
  • Wilkie moved into 17th place on the Tigers' D1-era scoring list with 95 points through 101 career games. 
  • He combined to win 29-of-47 faceoffs during the RMU series and enters the week ranked second nationally with 335 faceoff victories this season.  
  • The reigning Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year is currently ranked fifth in Atlantic Hockey with 25 points, tied for fifth with 11 goals and tied for seventh with 14 assists.  

The No. 19 Tigers continue Atlantic Hockey play with two games against visiting Bentley this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 26-27) at 7:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m., respectively.
