Women's Basketball loses at home to Skidmore, 67-44

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior guard Emma Waite scores a team-high 15 points as the women's basketball team falls to Skidmore 67-44, Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • First-year forward Faye Kaplinski puts the Tigers on the board and ties the game at two with 8:51 left in the first
  • A driving layup from Waite at 3:38, gives the Tigers a 11-10 lead, their first lead of the game
  • Skidmore ends the first quarter with a made three-pointer, giving them a 15-13 lead after the first ten minutes of play
  • A three from Waite puts the Tigers back on top 16-15 with 9:38 on the clock in the second
  • Skidmore finishes the quarter on a 13-6 run, taking a 28-22 lead going into halftime
  • Sophomore guard Erin DiPaola earns a steal on the Skidmore's first possession of the second half, DiPaola then finds first-year guard Ella Wilson for a layup, cutting Skidmore's lead to four
  • Skidmore outscores RIT 23-9 in the remainder of the third, taking a 46-33 lead going into the fourth quarter
  • Skidmore pulls away further outscoring RIT 21-11 in the fourth, earning a 67-44 victory
