ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT graduate student relief pitcher
Eric Sipling recently earned Division III All-Region honors from D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Sipling was named to the D3baseball.com second team and the ABCA third team.
Sipling also received a second-team All-Liberty League nod last month after finishing fifth in the conference with a 3.18 ERA in a team-high 15 appearances, including three starts. He finished with a 6-0 record along with two saves over 45.1 innings while holding opponents to a conference-low .180 batting average. He also held opponents to the fewest hits (29) and runs (18) in the conference.
A transfer from Elizabethtown (Pa.), Sipling also garnered D3baseball.com second-team honors in 2022.
RIT finished the season with a 21-16 record, including an 11-7 Liberty League mark, for its fifth 20-win season since 2015. The Tigers placed second in the Liberty League Tournament, their best finish since winning the 2017 championship.
