ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The No. 18/19 RIT Men's Hockey team closes the year with a trip to New Hampshire for two games at the Ledyard Classic, hosted by Dartmouth. The Tigers will open the weekend opposite No. 8/8 Maine on Friday (4:00 p.m.) before taking on either Lake Superior State (4:00 p.m.) or the host Big Green (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday.

- Winners of nine of their last 12 games, the Tigers most recently split two games at Atlantic Hockey-rival AIC, including a 5-2 victory (Dec. 9) to rebound from a 3-2 OT setback the night before in the opener.Â
- RIT completed the first semester with an 11-5-0 record for the second-winningest D1-era start – one win shy of last year's 12-4-0 mark.
- The Tigers sit first in the Atlantic Hockey standings with a 9-3-0 mark – two points ahead of second place Sacred Heart (8-3-0) and seven points clear of third-place AIC (7-3-0).
- RIT won 27 of a possible 36 points (.750) in the Atlantic Hockey standings, joining second-place Sacred Heart (.758) as the only two teams above 75 percent.
- RIT closed the semester ranked No. 18 in the latest USCHO.com national poll (Dec. 11) and remained No. 19 in the USA Hockey rankings for the third-consecutive week.
- RIT entered break leading Atlantic Hockey and ranked 11th nationally with 3.56 goals per game, while sitting first in the conference and 10th nationally in scoring margin, out-scoring the opposition by 1.06 goals per game. The Tigers also ranked third in the league/13th nationally only allowing 2.50 goals per game.
- Junior forward Carter Wilkie (7G/8A) and senior forward Cody Laskosky (5G/10A) lead RIT with 15 points apiece. Wilkie also sat fourth nationally with 188 faceoff wins while playing at least two fewer games than the top-three players.
- Fifth-year defenseman Gianfranco Cassaro entered break tied for first nationally with five game-winning goals and third among all defensemen with seven goals.
- Laskosky is tied with senior defenseman Aiden Hansen-Bukata for the team assist lead with 10 assists, while Cassaro and Wilkie lead the way with seven goals apiece.Â
- Junior goaltender Tommy Scarfone owns a 10-4-0 record this season. He became RIT's fourth D1-era goaltender to win 40 games, tying Mike Rotolo '17 for third on the career list with a 40-24-2 record. He also moved up to third all-time with 1,892 career saves.
- Scarfone entered break seventh nationally with a .926 save percentage while his 2.33 goals against average ranked 18th. His 10 wins were also the seventh-best total while his 413 saves ranked 15th.
- Scarfone was named Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week a league-best three times to start the season and landed October Goaltender of the Month honors from Atlantic Hockey as well as the Hockey Commissioners Association.Â
- Scarfone totaled at least 40 saves in three games during the first semester, including a career-high 45 in the 4-3 OT setback to No. 10 New Hampshire (Nov. 25) and 43 in the overtime loss at AIC three weeks ago.
- Graduate student forward Elijah Gonsalves finished the semester with nine points on six goals and three assists, climbing to 24th on the Tigers' career scoring list with 79 points (33G/46A).Â
- First-year forward Mattew Wilde is tied for fifth on the team with 10 points, including five goals and five assists.
- Sophomore forward Simon Isabelle is tied for second nationally with a pair of short-handed goals.
