SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – RIT junior guard Chase Dickens scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Tigers to a 73-61 win at Union, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior guard Brandon Weiss scored on a layup with 11:22 remaining in the first half to give the Tigers and 18-12 lead.
• Junior forward Josiah Turner gave RIT a 20-13 lead on his layup off an assist from Weiss with 10:32 to play.
• Senior forward Kenny Wilburn scored with 2:25 to play to extend the RIT lead to 36-24, and again with 19 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 40-31 halftime lead.
• Dickens capped off a 10-3 RIT run with his bucket with 16:32 remaining in the second half to give the Tigers a 50-37 lead.
• Union's Luke McGarrity cut the RIT lead to 62-56 on his three-pointer with 8:37 remaining.
• Dickens hit a turn-around jumper with 6:59 to play to give RIT a 64-58 lead.
• A pair of Christian Dufort free throws with 1:15 remaining cut the Tigers' lead to 66-60.
• Dickens and junior guard Brock Bowen made key free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win.

• RIT shot 26-of-65 from the floor, including eight three-pointers
• The Tigers scored 24 points off of 13 Union turnovers and 34 points in the paint
• Union held a 38-29 rebounding edge
