Sydney Pearson scored a career-high 20 points in the Tigers 66-58 loss at William Smith, Friday.

Ansley Orrell chipped in a season-high 18 points and junior guard
Emma Waite finished with 11 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Waite hit a three-pointer off an assist from senior forward Meg Roy midway through the first quarter to cut the William Smith lead to 9-8.
- Brooke Jarvis capped off an 8-0 William Smith run with her three-pointer with 1:26 remaining in the first to give the Herons a nine-point lead.
- Lauren DeVaney gave the Herons a 23-10 lead on her basket early in the second quarter.
- Orrell scored five straight points including a three-pointer with 6:33 remaining in the half to make it a 10-point deficit.
- Pearson made a pair of free throws to cut the Herons lead to 25-19, and drained a turn-around jumper with 3:41 remaining in the half to make it a two-point game.
- Sophomore forward Sonya Shivok made it a one-point game with her layup with 2:01 remaining, and Pearson tied the score at 28-28 on her three-pointer off an assist from sophomore guard Mya Richardson.
- William Smith's Carly Scott converted two free throws to give William Smith a 30-28 halftime lead.
- Roy scored early in the third quarter, tying the game at 30-30.
- Maddie Patrick made a pair of free throws with 4:49 to play in the third to give William Smith a 37-32 lead.
- Kerstin Kelly scored early in the fourth quarter to increase the William Smith lead to 10 points.
- Pearson cut the William Smith lead to 50-40 on her jumper with 7:45 to play.
- Orrell hit a three-pointer later in the quarter that cut the deficit to 11 points, while Shivok scored with 3:52 remaining to make it a seven-point game.
- Pearson drained a three-pointer off an assist from junior guard Emma Waite with 1:36 to play to cut the Herons lead to 61-56, while Waite made it a three-point game on her layup with 1:06 remaining.
- Patrick made two free throws in the closing seconds to make it a 66-58 final.

- RIT shot 21-of-68 from the floor, including 9-of-31 from beyond the arc.
- William Smith out-rebounded RIT, 46-42.
- Pearson shot 7-of-12 from the floor, while Shivok led the Tigers with eight rebounds.
