Women’s Basketball falls to Skidmore, 69-42

ROCHESTER, NY Senior forward Kaleesha Joseph scored 10 points in her first game of the season as the Tigers fell to Clarkson on Friday, 69-42.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Skidmore took an early 1-0 lead on a free throw by Julia Blanck with 9:32 left in the first quarter.
  • The Tigers took a 2-1 lead on a jumper by Joseph with 9:14 left in the first quarter.
  • Skidmore retook the lead with 7:31 left in the first quarter on a Blanck layup, 3-2.
  • The Thoroughbreds pulled ahead by the end of the first half for a 33-21 lead.
  • Although the Tigers would later outscore Skidmore in the fourth quarter, 11-10, but the visitors would take the 69-42 victory.  
GAME NOTES
  • RIT shot 16-of-61 from the floor (26.2%) on the game, including 4-of-20 from beyond the arc (20%).
  • The Tigers were outrebounded, 51-34.
  • First-year guard Ansley Orrell had eight points, while sophomore guard/forward Sydney Pearson led the team with eight rebounds.
