ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT baseball team travels to Bard in a postseason Liberty League Cross Over (best-of-three) series, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, May 7 at Honey Field. The first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. with the second game slated for a 4 p.m. start. AÂ potential third game is scheduled for Sunday, May 8 at 12 p.m., if necessary.

ENTERING THE POSTSEASON
The Tigers enter the Bard series after finishing third in the Liberty League West Division, while the Raptors were second in the Liberty League East Division. Bard hosts the series as the higher seed.The Tigers and Raptors both finished the regular season with .500 overall records. RIT is 17-17, with a 7-10 conference record, and 4-7 division record. Bard is 15-15, with a 9-9 conference record, and 7-5 division record. The Raptors appeared in the NCAA Regional Rankings for the first time ever this week at No. 7 in Region III after re-starting its program in 2013 from a 76-year absence.
LAST TIME OUT
RIT clinched the third spot from Clarkson in the West Division after taking one of three games against Rochester last weekend. Rochester entered the series as the top West Division team, but its 9-4 loss to the Tigers on April 30 dropped the Yellowjackets to second place. LAST RIT VS. BARD SERIES
Each team opened its 2022 Liberty League schedule against the other with the Tigers going 2-1 at Bard. RIT swept the doubleheader, 9-8 and 4-1, on Saturday, March 26, before falling 7-2 on March 27. In game one, the Tigers were tied at 8-8 after six innings before Blackall was walked with the bases loaded for the winning run in the ninth. In the second game, freshman right fielder
Sam Kulp plated three RBI to lead the Tigers to victory. In the third game, senior left fielder
Chris Reilly's home run tied the contest at 1-1 in the second, before the Raptors scored runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take the win.
AWAY FROM TIGER STADIUM
RIT is 12-5 in games away from Tiger Stadium this season. Those numbers include two wins in February and 10 in March. Since the team's 2-1 record at Bard in late March, the Tigers have played just two road games.
LAST 10 LIBERTY LEAGUE GAMES
The Tigers ended the season with a 2-8 record in its last 10 conference games with victories over Rochester (April 30) and Union (April 23). The Raptors finished its last 10 conference matchups with a 6-4 record with wins over Vassar (April 30, May 1), Skidmore (April 23-24), and Union (April 15, April 20).

Bard is eighth in conference batting with four hitters at .300 or above that include junior Jared Toby (.416), graduate student Jordan Meyers (.366), senior Alex Luscher (.330), and freshman Jake Stacey (.306). The Raptors are ninth in conference pitching with senior Spencer Checkoway having a team-best 4.60 ERA, and sophomore Aidan Risse with highs in wins (five) and starts (eight). Bard is seventh in the conference in fielding with a .951 percentage and are led by Meyers' 57 catches and perfect fielding percentage.

RIT is 14-4 overall against Bard with 12 of those wins coming consecutively between April 2014 and April 2018. The Tigers also hold a 6-4 edge in the teams' last 10 meetings.
