SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The RIT women's tennis team fell at Union, 6-3, in Liberty League action Friday.
Graduate student
Julia Smolowitz and senior
Kirsten Auble were 8-5 winners at third doubles. Sophomore
Jackie Drozd and freshman Gabby Donahue fell 8-5 in first doubles, while sophomore
Abby Murray and senior
Julianne Ho lost in second doubles, 8-3.
In singles play, Murray captured fourth singles in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (11-9). Ho took sixth singles, 6-3, 6-1. Smolowitz fell in fifth singles, 6-3, 6-1. Auble was defeated in third singles 6-1, 6-0. Drozd fell by a pair of 6-1 sets in first singles, while Donohue lost a pair of 6-0 sets in second singles.
Women's Tennis next travels to Hartwick on Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. in a non-conference action.
