ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT seniors
Julianne Ho and
Kirsten Auble took their singles matches, but it was host Rochester that came away with a 7-2 win, Saturday.
Ho dropped her first set, 6-3, in sixth singles, but rallied for 7-5 and 13-11 set wins. Auble split her first two sets by 7-5 scores before taking an 11-9 win in the third set at third singles.
In other singles action, sophomore
Jackie Drozd fell in first singles by a pair of 6-0 sets. Freshman
Gabby Donohue fell 6-2, 6-1 in second singles. Sophomore
Abby Murray fell in fourth singles, 6-2, 6-1. Graduate student
Julia Smolowitz lost 6-4, 6-0.
In doubles play, Murray and Wade fell 8-6 in second doubles. Auble and Smolowitz lost 8-6 in third doubles. Drozd and Donohue lost 8-0 in first doubles.
Women's Tennis next hosts Daemen on Sunday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. in non-conference action at the Gordon Field House.
