GENESEO, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team opened the 2022 outdoor season at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, Saturday. 

• Junior Hassan Eissa (32:39.54) and senior Aleksei Bingham (32:48.39) finished second and third, respectively, in the 10,000 with a pair of Atlantic Region Championship qualifying times.
• Freshman Ben Sheehan won the long jump (7.02m/23' 0.5").
• Sheehan also joined freshman Brendan McBride, freshman Trenton Goyette, sophomore Justin Jantzi to win the 4x100 relay with an Atlantic Region qualifying time (43.13).
• Freshman Andrew Bernacki (54.73m/179' 6") and Jason Mohr (54.07m/177' 4") swept the top-two places in the javelin, respectively. 

RIT will compete at the University of Rochester Invitational next Friday (Apr. 8), starting at 12:00 p.m.
