ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT women's tennis team beat visiting Alfred University, 9-0, in non-league action, Tuesday.

The Tigers captured all three doubles matches with sophomore Jackie Drozd and freshman Gabby Donahue taking first doubles, 8-4, over Macy Youngberg and Lauren Boshart. Sophomore Abby Murray and senior Julianne Ho took second doubles over Anna Gwozdz and Eve Liu , 8-1, while graduate student Julia Smolowitz and senior Kirsten Auble were 8-1 winners at third doubles against Alex Rossen and Alexis Giordano.

In singles play, Auble, Murray and Ho won in 6-0 straight sets. Auble competed in third singles against Youngberg, Murray in fourth singles against Boshart, and Ho in sixth singles against Giordano. Drozd took first singles over Liu, 6-4, 6-2. Donohue won at second singles, 6-1, 6-0, and Smolowitz defeated Rossen in third singles, 6-1, 6-3.

Women's Tennis next travels to Union on Friday, April 22 at 2 p.m. in Liberty League action.
