ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT freshman
Anna Peshenko competed at the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, IN. Peshenko competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events as well as the 400 individual medley.
Peshenko finished 31st in the 400 IM (4:34.95), 31st in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.33) and went 2:24.13 in the 200 breaststroke, finishing 34th.
Peshenko is the sixth swimmer to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Baretela's tenure at RIT. Junior
KhaVy Sangasy (100 and 200 breaststroke) and Sedera Zbranak
(second, 100 backstroke)
earned All-American honors in 2020 and 2019, respectively. Zbranak, Amy Adams, Olivia Phillips and Alicia Shenal competed in three relays in 2019.
A total of 579 men and women (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.
