BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team finished second out of 15 teams at the Brockport Invitational, Saturday. 

• Senior Nick John won the pole vault with an Atlantic Region Championship qualifying mark (4.85m/15' 11") while also setting a PR as five Tigers finished in the top-eight.
• Senior Matthew Funicelli hit a pair of Atlantic Region Championship qualifying marks, finishing first in the weight throw (16.70m/54' 9.5") and placing third with a PR in the shot put (15.44m/50' 8").
• Senior Matthew Skakal finished third in the 400 (51.29) with an Atlantic-Region Championship qualifying time, while taking fourth in the 200 (23.24). Both marks were PRs.
• The host Golden Eagles won the meet with 153.50 points to out-distance the Tigers (104), St. John Fisher (62), Fredonia (43)  and Daemen (43) among the top-five team finishes. 

RIT will host its second invitational of the winter this coming Friday (Feb. 11), starting at 4:00 p.m. in Gordon Field House.
