ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT freshman forward Carter Wilkie was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week, Monday, landing the recognition for the seventh time this season.
 
Wilkie scored the game-winning goal 38 seconds into overtime and also added an assist in Friday's 3-2 victory at Air Force. It was his conference-leading fifth game-winner of the season.
 
Wilkie finished the regular season tied for third in the league with 27 points and second with 12 goals.
 
RIT (16-14-4) earned the fourth seed for the upcoming Atlantic Hockey Tournament and will host Sacred Heart in a best-of-three quarterfinal series on March 11-13 at the Gene Polisseni Center.
