PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team competed at the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up meet, Friday, at the Golisano Training Center.
- Senior Matthew Funicelli won the weight throw with a PR 17.01m (55' 9.75") performance. He also finished second in the shot put with a PR 15.69m (51' 5.75"). Both were Atlantic Region Championship qualifying marks.
- Junior Tyler Hulse finished second in the high jump with a PR 2.04m (6' 8.25"), which also was an Atlantic Region Championships qualifier.
- Senor Nick John finished runner-up in the pole vault with a 4.72m (15' 5.75") leap for an Atlantic Region Championship qualifying mark.
- Freshman Trenton Goyette placed third in the 400 with a PR 51.12 to qualify for the Atlantic Region Championships.
RIT will compete in the 2022 Liberty League Indoor Championships next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 25-26), hosted by Ithaca.
