Women's Basketball loses 83-42 at Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Junior Kaleesha Joseph led RIT (10-9, 7-7 Liberty League) with 15 points in the Tigers 83-42 loss at Vassar (15-6, 14-1 Liberty League) Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • RIT trailed 23-14 after the first quarter, shooting 5-of-13 from the floor.
  • Joseph led the Tigers with seven points, shooting 3-of-4 from the foul line.
  • Freshman Sydney Pearson scored with five seconds to play in the opening quarter that cut the Vassar lead to nine points.
  • Vassar outscored RIT 22-10 in the second quarter and led 45-24 at halftime.
  • Joseph led the Tigers with 13 first-half points on 5-of-5 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.
  • The Tigers scored nine points in the third quarter and were outscored 38-18 in the second half.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT shot 16-of-54 from the floor, including 3-of-15 from beyond the arc.
  • Joseph was 6-of-6 from the floor and led the Tigers with seven rebounds.
  • Sophomore Emma Waite scored eight points, while Pearson and senior Sarah Henretta each had three assists.
  • Tova Gelb scored 22 points to lead Vassar.
