HOW IT HAPPENED
- RIT outscored Rensselaer 19-16 in the second quarter to lead 29-28 at halftime.
- First-year guard Ansley Orrell tied the score at 19-19 on her three-pointer late in the second quarter.
- The Tigers outscored RPI over the final 4:08 of the half to lead by one at the break.
- Graduate student forward Andreja Peciuraite scored 10 points off the bench to pace the Tigers.
- RPI outscored the Tigers 16-11 in the third quarter.
- Erin DiPaola tied the score at 52-52 on her layup with 4:52 remaining in regulation.
- A pair of Waite free throws with 1:24 gave the Tigers a 10-point lead.
- The Tigers converted their free throws in the closing minutes to secure the win.
