ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore forward Carter Wilkie was named the Atlantic Hockey November Player of the Month, announced Thursday.
 
Wilkie won the award for the first time after landing Rookie of the Month three times during his first-year campaign a season ago.
 
Wilkie led Atlantic Hockey with eight points and averaged 1.33 points per game during a 5-1-0 November. He was named the AHA Player of the Week on Nov. 14 after totaling five points during the Tigers' sweep of Sacred Heart, including a goal, two assists, 13-of-20 faceoff wins and a blocked shot in the 3-1 win on Nov. 12. Wilkie also scored two goals and an assist while winning 14-of-26 faceoffs in the 5-3 win over Princeton (Nov. 25).

RIT's leading scorer with 17 points, Wilkie currently leads Atlantic Hockey with 1.21 points per game, is tied for second with seven goals, and is tied for fifth with 10 assists. He also ranks 12th nationally with 164 face-off wins, including 60 defensive zone wins (53.1 W%) and 60 offensive zone wins (58.8 W%).
 
RIT takes on Canisius in an Atlantic Hockey home-and-home series this Friday and Saturday (Dec. 2-3). The Tigers will host the Golden Griffins on Friday at 7:05 p.m. before heading to Buffalo on Saturday for a 7:05 p.m. face-off.
