ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT grad student forward
Kobe Walker scored a goal in the Tigers' 4-1 exhibition setback versus the USA Hockey National Team Development Program U-18 squad, Saturday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Walker opened the scoring with 9:15 left in the first period with RIT skating shorthanded. - The U-18s evened the score with 4:26 left in the period after Ryan Fine scored a loose puck in front with Tiger junior goaltender Kolby Matthews tangled up in a crowd on the crease.
- U-18 forward Gabe Perreault scored the lone two goals of the second period to push the Tigers to a two-goal deficit, 3-1, before Kai Janviriya added a third-period tally to complete the game.
GAME NOTES
- Augustine totaled 23 saves while holding the Tigers scoreless the final 50 minutes of play.
- Tiger junior goaltender Kolby Matthews made 11 saves in 30:23 before junior Daniel Chenard made 15 saves the final 29:23.
