Brock Bowen each scored 10 points in the Tigers 69-51 loss at No. 23 RPI (6-0, 2-0 Liberty League) Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lewis capped off an 8-0 spurt by the Tigers in the first half with his 3-pointer that gave the Tigers a 16-14 lead.
- Freshman Andrew Fox scored at the 7:58 mark that gave RIT an 18-17 lead.
- RPI closed out the first half on a 14-6 run to lead 31-24 at halftime.
- Bowen cut the RPI lead to 49-41 on his three-pointer at the 12:15 mark of the second half.
- The Engineers proved too much, outscoring RIT 38-27 in the second stanza.
GAME NOTES
- RIT shot 18-of-45 from the floor, including 7-of-15 from beyond the arc.
- Lewis shot 4-of-8 from the floor, while Bowen went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
- Fox led the Tigers with five rebounds to go along with six points.
- Will Rubin and Mason Memmelaar led RPI with 18 points apiece.
