Men's Soccer to host Skidmore in Liberty League Quarterfinals

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Third-seeded RIT (10-3-4, 5-1-3 Liberty League) host sixth-seeded Skidmore (8-5-3, 3-3-3 Liberty League) on Tuesday (Nov. 2) at 4:00 PM in the first round of the Liberty League Men's Soccer Tournament at RIT's Turf Field. The winner will play second-seeded Ithaca in the semifinals on Saturday (Nov. 6) at 1:30 PM, hosted by top-seeded RPI.

RIT enters Tuesday's match 3-1-1 in its last five games, including a 3-0 win over Union last Saturday. Sophomore midfielder John Lucas scored two goals to lead the Tigers, while Freshman Jaden Longdon tallied a goal. Freshman Jason Trapp and senior Spencer Raymond-Smith combined to make four saves in net.
 
RIT enters the tournament second in the league with 1.94 goals per game, and is third in scoring defense, allowing 0.71 goals per contest. The Tigers lead the league with a 1.23 goal margin.
 
Longdon leads the Liberty League with seven assists, is tied for sixth with five goals and is tied for second with 17 points. Juniors Randy Dickersbach and Jonathan Cohen are tied for second on the team with 12 points apiece. Dickersbach is tied for sixth in the league with five goals, while Cohen is tied for seventh with four assists.
 
Trapp enters the tournament second in the league with a 0.58 goals against average and third with a .852 save percentage. He is tied for third in the league with six shutouts.
 
Skidmore enters Tuesday's match 2-1-1 in its last five games, including a 4-0 win at Bard last Saturday. Nick Jardim, Roman Toepler and Kamil Ibrahim each scored for the Thoroughbreds, while Bobby Stratts made three saves in net to earn the win.
 
The Thoroughbreds enters the tournament third in the league with 1.75 goals per game, and are fifth defensively, allowing 0.81 goals per contest.
 
Junior Finn Weber leads Skidmore and is tied for second in the league with 17 points. He is tied for second with seven goals, including two game-winning tallies. Ibrahim is second with nine points, while Toepler is third on the squad with eight points.
 
Stratts enters the tournament with six wins and is fifth in the league with a 0.80 goals against average and an .831 save percentage. He is tied for third in the Liberty League with six shut-outs.
 
Isaac Myran and Max Mian each scored in a 2-1 win for Skidmore over RIT on Oct. 16. Alec Jackson scored for the Tigers, while Trapp took the loss making two saves. Stratts made 10 saves in net for the Thoroughbreds to earn the win.
 
Fans planning to attend Tuesday's game may park in any general parking lot on campus.
