ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (4-5) men's basketball team was defeated 76-57 at the University of Rochester (9-2) in non-conference action Tuesday evening.
RIT shot 40.7 percent from the floor on 22-of-54 shooting. The Tigers made 10-of-21 from beyond the arc, and went 3-of-9 from the foul line.
Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) led RIT with 12 points.
Matt Anderson (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) finished with eight points, while
Keegan Ocorr (Fairport, NY/Charles Finney) led RIT with five rebounds.
Patrick Benka led Rochester with 22 points. Brian Amabilino Perez tallied nine points off the bench for the Yellow Jackets who shot 56.0 percent from the floor.
RIT trailed 44-29 at halftime and were outscored 32-28 in the second half. The Tigers return to action on Friday, Jan. 10, when the Tigers host Hobart College in Liberty League action from Clark Gym at 8 p.m.
