Men's basketball loses at home to Hobart College

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (4-6, 1-2 Liberty League) men's basketball team was defeated 66-53 at home to Hobart College (10-1, 4-0 Liberty League) Friday evening in Liberty League action from Clark Gym.

RIT shot 34.0 percent from the floor on 17-of-50 shooting. The Tigers shot 2-of-15 from beyond the arc, and went 17-of-23 from the foul line. Chuck Okehie (Owings Mills, MD/The McDonough School) led RIT with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) finished with eight points, while Jake Gugula (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) came off the bench to score six points for the Tigers.

Tucker Lescoe led Hobart with 14 points, while Daniel Cook and Jackson Meshanic each tallied 10 points. Edens Fleurizard finished with eight points and 11 rebounds for the Statesmen who shot 41.0 percent from the floor.

RIT trailed 21-15 at halftime, but were outscored 45-38 in the second half. The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Jan. 11, when the Tigers host Union College at 4 p.m. from Clark Gymnasium.
