SCHENECTADY, NY -- The RIT (6-11, 3-7 Liberty League) men's basketball team was defeated 85-68 in Liberty League action from Union College (11-6, 8-3 Liberty League) Friday evening.
The Tigers fell behind in the first half, trailing 48-31, but came back in the second half to tie the Dutchmen 37-37. RIT shot 40.0 percent from the floor on 24-of-60 shooting. The Tigers went 5-of-18 from beyond the arc, and 15-of-19 from the foul line.
Kevin Ryan (Rochester, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) led RIT with 12 points and six rebounds.
Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) tallied 11 points, while
Jake Gugula (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) chipped in 10 points off the bench, Jackson Mannix and Mike Concannon led Union with 18 points apiece.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Feb.1, when the Tigers face Hobart College at 4 p.m. from Geneva, N.Y.
