ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (4-7, 2-2 Liberty League) women's basketball team defeated Union College (4-6, 1-3 Liberty League) 52-46 in Liberty League action from Clark Gym Saturday afternoon.
RIT shot 35.8 percent from the floor on 19-of-53 shooting. The Tigers made just 3-of-16 from beyond the arc, and made 11-of-14 from the foul line.
Sabrina Wolfe (Troy, NY/Troy) led RIT with 15 points and six rebounds.
Brooke Stanley (Minnetonka, MN/Benilde-St. Margaret's) tallied 10 points, while
Kaleesha Joseph (Somerville, MA/Prospect Hill Academy Charter) finisehd with 10 rebounds.
Joana Santos led Union with 14 points and five rebounds. Amber Raisner tallied 10 points for the Dutchwomen who shot 30.9 percent from the floor.
RIT led 14-6 after the first quarter, and led 25-17 at halftime. The Tigers outscored Union 17-16 in the third quarter and tallied 10 points in the fourth quarter for the six-point win.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Ithaca College at 5:30 p.m.
