ROCHESTER, NY -- A program-record 23 members of the RIT men's hockey team earned 2018-19 Atlantic Hockey Conference All-Academic Team honors. Junior Adam Brubacher (Elmira, Ontario/Powell River Kings) was one of 12 players to be named Student-Athlete of the Year, recording a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. It is his third consecutive AHA Student-Athlete of the Year honor.

Out of the 23 players selected, 15 are repeat honorees, including Mark Logan (Calgary, Alberta/Brooks Bandits) and Christian Short (Vaughan, Ontario/Surrey Eagles), who were both selected for the fourth time. Three seniors, all seven juniors, seven sophomores and six freshmen earned All-Academic Team honors.

Atlantic Hockey continued its high standard in the classroom, as 209 student-athletes were named to the 2018-19 Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team. Twelve players were named Student-Athletes of the Year for maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Six of the 11 member institutions placed at least 20 student-athletes on the 2018-19 All-Academic Team, with RIT, Robert Morris, Canisius, and Niagara pacing the way with 23 representatives each.

To qualify for the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team an individual must post a 3.0 GPA or higher in all of the academic semesters in which his team was actively competing.
