SCHENECTADY, NY -- The RIT (5-19, 2-15 Liberty League) men's basketball lost 85-64 at Union College (10-13, 6-11 Liberty League) in Liberty League action Friday evening.
RIT shot 40.3 percent from the floor on 25-of-62 shooting. The Tigers went 8-of-21 from beyond the arc, and made 6-of-7 free throws.
Marcell Davis (Buffalo, NY/St. Joseph's Institute) led RIT with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor.
Cobey Adekanbi (Bloomfield, CT/Loomis Chafee) tallied eight points and grabbed six rebounds, while
Jaymee Rosser (Newark, NY/Newark) finished with four assists.
Matt Anderson (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) and
DJ Walker (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) had seven points apiece.
Mike Concannon led Union with 16 points, while Kevin McNoble tallied 14 points. Brendna Laing chipped in 12 points for the Dutchmen, who shot 48.3 percent from the floor.
The Tigers trailed by just four points at halftime, 38-34. RIT closed out the half on a 7-0 run. Union out-scored RIT, 47-30 in the second half. The Dutchmen opened the second half on a 12-0 run
RIT closes out the 2018-19 season at Bard College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.
