POUGHKEEPSIE, NY -- The RIT (2-4, 0-1 Liberty League) women's basketball team lost its Liberty League opener, 82-52 at Vassar College (4-2, 1-0 Liberty League) Friday evening.

RIT shot 35.5 percent from the floor on 22-of-62 shooting. The Tigers made 3-of-9 from beyond the arc, and 5-of-13 from the foul line. Brooke Stanley (Minnetonka, MN/Benilde-St. Margaret's) led RIT with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Kaleesha Joseph (Somerville, MA/Prospect Hill Academy Charter) came off the bench to score nine points, while Alyssa Juergens (Rochester, NY/Hilton) finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

Jackie Cenan led Vassar with 23 points, and Sophie Nick tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Brewers who shot 50 percent from the floor and out-rebounded the Tigers 40-25.

RIT returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Skidmore College at 2 p.m.
