ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (2-0) men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 105-67 win over D'Youville College (0-2) from Clark Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. It is the first time the Tigers have scored 100+ points since a 104-101 win over Union College in 2016.

RIT led 53-35 at halftime and outscored the Spartans 52-32 in the second half. Dylan Ouimette (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) was one of five Tigers to score in double figures, finishing with 18 points on 7-of-7 shooting. Kevin Ryan (Rochester, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) and Matt Anderson (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) each scored 15 points, while Chuck Okehie (Owings Mills, MD/The McDonough School) finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) tallied 11 points, while Keegan Ocorr (Fairport, NY/Charles Finney) had a game-high 10 assists.

RIT shot 46.7 percent from the floor on 42-of-90 shooting. The Tigers made six three-pointers and went 15-of-24 from the foul line. RIT dominated the boars, out-rebounding the Spartans 75-40. Defensively, the Tigers held D'Youville to 28.8 percent shooting and forced the Spartans into 15 turnovers.

Darrius Hatzog and Jagdeep Drumgoole led D'Youville with 13 points apiece.

RIT returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 21 when the Tigers begin competition in the 2019 Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. The Tigers take on Nazareth College at 6 p.m. from the campus of the University of Rochester.
