ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (3-9, 0-5 Liberty League) men's basketball team was defeated 78-61 by Ithaca College (7-5, 3-2 Liberty League) Tuesday evening in Liberty League action from Clark Gymnasium.
RIT shot 33.3 percent from the floor on 21-of-63 shooting. The Tigers made 6-of-32 from beyond the arc, and made 13-of-19 from the foul line.
Jaymee Rosser (Newark, NY/Newark) led the Tigers with 11 points.
Marcell Davis (Buffalo, NY/St. Joseph's Institute) tallied nine points and grabbed five rebounds, while
Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) and
Will Atkinson (Orchard Park, NY/Canisius) each tallied seven points.
Sebastian Alderete led Ithaca with a game-high 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Riley Thompson tallied 19 points, while Peter Ezema chipped in 10 and eight rebounds for the Bombers who shot 46.4 percent from the floor.
RIT trailed 43-31 at halftime, and was outscored 35-30 in the second half. RIT held a 44-39 edge on the boards.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, January 8 at 7 p.m. at Skidmore College.
