PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT (6-3) men's swimming and diving team finished the 2018-19 regular season with a 179-121 loss at Nazareth College (6-1) Saturday afternoon.
Eric Moss (Irvington, NY/Irvington) set a pool record in the 200-meter butterfly for the Tigers.
In relay action, the team of
Will Brown (Boulder, CO/Fairview),
Ben Metzger (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas),
Eric Moss (Irvington, NY/Irvington) and
Carl Schlehr (Maineville, OH/Kings) picked up a win in the 400-meter relay winning in a time of 3:39.87. The team of
Derek Rothrock (Ashburn, VA/Briar Woods), Schlehr, Metzger and Brown placed second in the 200-meter relay, finishing in a time of 1:50.72.
Moss and
Mark Truskinovsky (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) each picked up a win in individual events. Moss was a winner in the 200-meter butterfly, winning in a pool record time of 2:10.00. Truskinovsky was a winner in the 200-meter freestyle, coming home in a time of 2:02.84. Moss picked up a second in the 100-meter butterfly (59.18), while Truskinovsky came home second in the 100-meter freestyle (55.58).
Joe Wang (Framingham, MA/Framingham) placed second in the 800-meter freestyle (8:57.04) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:24.77).
Braden Feasley (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) was second in the 200-meter freestyle (2:04.45), while Rothrock was second in the 100-meter backstroke (1:04.62).
In diving action,
Chase Van Duyne (Auburn, NY/Auburn) placed second in the 1-meter competition with a score of 237.55.
Jon Bauer (Fairview, PA/McDowell) was third in the 1-meter competition (237.50), and was second in the 3-meter competition (260.60).
RIT will now prepare for the Liberty League Championship from Feb. 20-23 hosted by Ithaca College
