ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT (7-10, 5-5 Liberty League) women's lacrosse team will compete in the Liberty League Quarterfinal on Tuesday at Skidmore College (11-6, 7-3 Liberty League). The Tigers enter the tournament as the sixth seed, while Skidmore is the third seed. RIT is making its first post-season appearance since 2012.
RIT enters Tuesday's quarterfinal second in the Liberty League in scoring, averaging 13.47 goals per game, including 13.50 goals per contest in conference play. The Tigers are ninth defensively, allowing 12.59 goals per contest. RIT is second, causing 10.4 turnovers per game, while winning 14.10 draw controls per contest and are fifth grabbing 20.50 ground balls per game.
Emily Livecchi (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) leads RIT and the Liberty League in scoring with 91 points. She is second in assists (39) and third in goals (58). Livecchi enters Tuesday second all-time at the university in scoring with 270 career points and is third all-time with 187 goals. 
Alanna Fallone (Penfield, NY/Penfield) is second in the league with 58 goals and fourth with 67 points. Maegen Schmauder is tied for third in the league with 27 ground balls.
Skidmore enters this afternoon third in the Liberty League in scoring, averaging 12.53 goals per game. The Thoroughbreds are fifth defensively, allowing 9.76 goals per contest. Skidmore is fourth in ground balls (20.18), caused turnovers (9.53) and draw controls (13.29).
Natalie LaBeau leads Skidmore in scoring with 47 points on 30 goals and 17 assists. Cas Szwajkowski and Emily Hirsch are tied for second in scoring with 45 points each. Szwajkowski is fifth in the league in goals (41), averaging 2.41 goals per contest. Caroline Kenlon is eighth in the league with 9.86 goals against average.
RIT holds a 4-3 lead all time versus Skidmore. The Tigers defeated Skidmore 16-12 on March 24 in Rochester. The Tigers broke open a close game with six straight goals in the second half. 
Meghan Donahue (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker), 
Colette Rigas (Marietta, NY/Marcellus) and 
Maegan Schmauder (Franklin, MA/Franklin) each scored three goals, while Livecchi finished with four assists and six points. Hirsch led Skidmore with four goals, while Szwajkowski and Shelby Boland each scored three goals.
The winner advances to the semifinals and will face the winner top-seeded William Smith College on Saturday, May 5 in Geneva, N.Y.
