ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (2-3, 0-1 Liberty League) men's basketball team was defeated 83-58 by Bard College (3-3, 1-0 Liberty League) Friday evening in the Liberty League opener Friday evening from Clark Gym.
RIT shot 31.5 percent from the floor on 23-of-73 shooting. The Tigers made 6-of-30 from beyond the arc, and made 6-of-9 from the foul line.
Chuck Okehie (Owings Mills, MD/McDonogh) led RIT with 10 points and four rebounds.
Michael Young (Brookly, NY/Nazareth Regional) tallied eight points, while
Curtis Nesbit (Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge) added seven points and three assists.
Armando Dunn led Bard with 21 points and nine rebounds. David Runcie tallied 13 points, while Stamatis Koulouris tallied 13 points and four rebounds for Bard who shot 52.3 percent from the floor. The Raptors held a slight 47-43 rebounding edge.
RIT trailed 44-24 at halftime and were outscored 39-24 in the second half.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Dec. 1 when RIT hosts Union College at 4 p.m. on the floor of Clark Gym.
