ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT men's hockey team hosts Atlantic Hockey rival Canisius College at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from the Gene Polisseni Center.

www.rittickets.com. Tuesday is also Hometown Heroes Night, as all first responders, active and retired military members receive free admission.
RIT is in the midst of playing eight out of nine games on home ice to end the fall semester.
RIT (5-3-1, 3-2-1 AHA) is looking to extend its winning streak to three games after earning a sweep on home ice over American International, winning 2-1 on Friday and 5-2 Saturday.
Alden Dupuis (Edmonton, Alberta/Bonnyville Pontiacs) and
Darren Brady (Lake Orion, MI/New Jersey Titans) scored on Friday night, while
Logan Drackett (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Canucks) stopped 32 of 33 shots in front of a capacity crowd of 4,300 fans. Saturday,
Jake Hamacher (Corona, CA/Dubuque Fighting Saints) and
Erik Brown (Keene, Ontario/Kemptville 73's) scored two goals apiece, while Drackett made 21 saves.
Abbott Girduckis (Belleville, Ontario/Wellington Dukes) leads the team in scoring through nine games this season with 11 points on five goals and six assists. Hamacher is right behind with nine points, while Brown and
Gabe Valenzuela (Brampton, Ontario/North York Rangers) has eight points each. Brown has a team-best six goals. Drackett has played in all nine games in net and has a 2.19 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.
Canisius (4-4-0, 3-3-0 AHA) romped to a 6-3 win over Clarkson University on home ice Saturday night. Cameron Heath had a goal and three assists in the win. Dylan McLaughlin, the reigning AHA Player of the Year, leads Canisius in scoring with 13 points on seven goals and six assists in eight games. Tucker Weppner and Blake Weyrick and have split time in goal this season. Weppner is 3-2-0 with a 3.83 goals against average and an .867 save percentage.
RIT and Canisius will also meet in the regular season finale from the Gene Polisseni Center on Saturday, March 2. RIT leads the all-time series, 61-24-2, including a 22-15-1 edge since the Tigers moved to Division I in 2005. The two teams split the regular season series last season at the Polisseni Center. Brown and Valenzuela lead all active Tigers in scoring against Canisius with six points apiece.
Tuesday's game will be aired on CW Rochester via tape delay at 10 p.m. (Digital - 13.2, DirecTV – 14 and Spectrum – 16) and stream live with Gene Battaglia and John DiTullio on the call from the Polisseni Center. In addition, both contests will be aired on
WITR 89.7 FM and Fox Sports 1280 with Ed Trefzger and Scott Biggar on the call.
