ROCHESTER, NY - Executive Sports Information Director Joe Venniro announced that Samantha Annable will join the RIT Sports Information department as an assistant director for the for the 2017-18 season on Wednesday, Aug. 16. Annable will work closely with Venniro and Sports Information Director Steve Jaynes on all media relations aspects for RIT's 22 Division III programs and two Division I hockey teams.
 
Annable served as an intern at The University of Rochester in the sports information department during the 2016-17 season, where she worked on social media, game day recaps and statistics for the Yellowjackets varsity teams.
 
Annable graduated from The College at Brockport in 2017, earning a bachelor's degree in sport management and communications. While at Brockport, she worked in the Golden Eagles athletic department performing marketing tasks for the College's Eagle Empire: a program promoting student attendance at home games, among other duties. She also played one season of varsity lacrosse.
 
The Syracuse native attended Onondaga High School, where she played lacrosse and soccer all four years.  
 
"We are thrilled to have Samantha join the RIT Sports Information office for the 2017-18 season," said Venniro. "She has a great social media presence and will be a great asset in finding new ways to feature our student-athletes."
