ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's lacrosse team was named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad. The Tigers were one of 308 colleges and universities across all three divisions to earn academic honors. In order to qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have a cumulative 3.0 or higher team grade-point average for the year.
The Tigers posted a sparkling team GPA of 3.59, and had 12 players selected to the 2017 Liberty League Spring All-Academic Team.
Nicole Bingo (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder),
Kaitlyn Dolan (North Andover, MA/North Andover),
Emily Livecchi (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy),
Brooks Melnyk (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East), Megan Schmauder and
Julia Spier (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley), were selected to the 2017 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.
RIT finished 2017 with an 8-8 overall record, including three wins in Liberty League play.
