ROCHESTER, NY – Seven members of the RIT men's crew team were named to the 2017 National Invitational Rowing Championships All-Academic Team on Friday, May 12.
For a student-athlete to be recognized to the NIRC All-Academic Team they must have completed one full-year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.35 and be recognized as a varsity letter winner.
Below is the full list of RIT men's crew student-athletes who earned NIRC All-Academic Team honors. The Tigers varsity 8 earned runner up honors at the 2017 Liberty League Championships, while the Tigers claimed a pair of silver medals at the New York State Collegiate Rowing Championships. RIT is in action in the National Invitational Rowing Championships in Worcester, Mass. today.
